LMACS Support Little Miss Poise
Little Miss Poise is a registered non-profit company, in operation since 2014.
The organisation focuses on the needs of young girls between Grades 6 and 7, who are experiencing financial hardship, but also girls who are in need of attention and care due to their family circumstances. It is our goal to assist and equip these girls with the necessary tools and knowledge to navigate their lives and circumstances with success.
The project is run at Laerskool Laeveld in Nelspruit and White River Primary in White River. With the assistance of the teachers as well as the social worker at White River Primary, 45 girls in grades 6 and 7 are identified for this project on a yearly basis. The project has been running since 2019, and are a firm fixture on the calendars of these young girls.

We facilitate four life skill and art and craft functions throughout the year, one per quarter, which functions are all arranged and facilitated by the staff of Annemarie Swanepoel Attorneys, with the help of volunteers to assist with the talks and other activities.
At these workshops the girls have the opportunity to uplifting talks, do art projects and learn life skills such as goal setting, study methods, self – defence, and even hair and skin care.
We also provide each girl with a toiletry gift pack consisting of shampoo, conditioner, soap, sanitary towels, deodorant, and other necessities to last for a 3-month period. The bags are individually decorated, and we give special attention to the quality of the contents, with attention to details and special gifts such as hairbrushes, perfume spray, hairbands and various other items that is not always just a necessity but a nice to have, as we aim to make these girls feel noticed and worthy.
We rely exclusively on donations for this project, and these donations are utilised for the toiletry gift packs and the materials required for the art projects. All services rendered to our organisation are rendered by business people on a volunteer basis.
The food and drink, as well as all table and function decorations are supplied and sponsored are sponsored by Annemarie Swanepoel Attorneys The workshops are held at the school and involves no costs in respect of venue.

We believe that our organisation, through the work that we do, make a substantial difference in the lives of these girls, not by only supporting them with much needed toiletries, but by giving our time and passion to assist them with life skills, as well as cultivating their sense of self-worth.
The project does not require sponsorships in cash only, but donations can also be made by providing some of the items that forms part of the goodie bag, or any additional items that can add joy or comfort such as socks, scarfs, hair bands or other items that are not always possible to give due to the basic needs that have to be met first in terms of personal hygiene.
